Today is DOGFEST!!!! The festivities don't start until 11AM, hurry on down and be part of a great day for a great cause! We will be walking in the DogFest Walk ‘n Roll, a fun, family and dog-friendly walk and festival...see you there! What is DogFest? DogFest Walk 'n Roll is coming to a community near you so grab your leash and get ready to have a tail-waggin' good time! Celebrate the community of people and dogs that make it possible for Canine Companions to show that the most advanced technology capable of transforming the lives of people with disabilities has a cold nose and a warm heart. Before the event Find a DogFest Walk 'n Roll near you and register to walk – it’s easy and there is no fee to participate! "Top Dogs" (team captains) put together teams of friends and coworkers. Everyone fundraises prior to the event, and then shows up at DogFest Walk ‘n Roll for a celebration of our four-legged friends. Dear Family and Friends, I have registered as a participant in DogFest Long Island 2017. This event is held in communities around the country and helps raise awareness and funds to provide highly-trained assistance dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities free of charge. These amazing dogs are valued at $50,000 but it takes volunteers and supporters from around the country to make it all possible.
